I recently enjoyed a family vacation at Huize Rafael and found it to be quite a convenient stay for families. One of the highlights was the spacious triple room we booked, which comfortably accommodated us. My sister and I took to the loft area, while our little one enjoyed the main floor. The neighborhood is peaceful, making it easy for families to unwind after a day of exploring. Each morning, we opted for the grab-and-go snacks, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise, especially for our busy schedule. The little cubbies next to the fridges made snacking easy and delightful for the kids. I do think better instructions on breakfast would help newcomers navigate the self-service setup. Another advantage was the bike hire facility nearby, which we took advantage of to explore Leuven's picturesque streets. While there are a few quirks, such as the lack of an elevator and steep stairs, these were manageable for our family. If you're looking for a family-friendly spot with a unique charm, Huize Rafael is worth considering for your next trip.
